"quote" ... I'm pleased to announce I am off of the singles market, thanks to the incredible ring you put together. The proposal came just after midnight at the train station in Pordenone, Italy on 20 December. After nearly 30 hours of traveling from the states on planes, trains and automobiles, my girlfriend finally arrived. Did I mention it was her birthday? She had missed my Christmas party and was not in the best of moods, but I was determined to make things better. She lit up with joy when she stepped off the train to find her man in his finest suit with a huge bouquet of flowers. I held up a sign written in Italian. Not understanding a bit of Italian, a deep look of confusion fell upon her face. As she approached me, the flowers dropped and I flipped the sign around where it read in English "will you marry me". I knelt down on one knee and pulled out the ring. I could see her eyes fill up with tears as she gazed upon this sparkling star which glistened from across the station. She ran to me; overwhelmed to the point where she couldn't speak, she stood speechless until I coached her into saying yes and slipped it on her finger. We opened a bottle of champagne and celebrated right there at the station while I told her the story of how her ring came to be. My fiancé and I started the rest of our lives together that night. I want to thank you for being a part of it. My deepest gratitude to you and your colleagues and I look forward to seeing you again someday. Happy holidays ... "unquote"
